I have recently been the lead designer on a large stadium project for Sprint. Needless to say, this is how I feel after a day of moving at Sprint Speed...

Never fear...Dad will be here!
Crazy, isn't it!?
I will soon be a super(hero) dad to my son. And as you can tell from the picture above, I already have my supersuit picked out. Do you think green briefs are a bit much?
But seriously...do superheroes get anxious? I plan to do everything in my power to protect, train, and love my kid, but I am often scared and frustrated by the fact that I will fail. My mortal skills and abilities are no match for the evils of this world, but the exceptence of this "weakness" provides me the strength to acknowledge and honor God and the power he has to transform lives through love and forgiveness.
"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."

Horn Peak
Last summer I supervised a hike up Horn Peak in the Sangre de Cristo (The blood of Christ) mountains of Colorado. Although we only made it to the false summit, I was reminded by this image the intensity and difficulty of this 9+ hour adventure. I hope for another chance this year. Beware Horn Peak, vengance is mine!

"Arrow-Maker"
I was dubbed this title by some students at Mill Creek Community Church after explaining the meaning of my name (Fletcher). It is the English spelling of an Old French term meaning one who fletches arrows. It literally means featherer of arrows or roughly translated arrow maker. It was the job of a fletcher to make true/straight the flight of an arrow. It is my hope that through the posts and links provided in this journal I would bring truth and insight to the topics I share.
The Fletcher clan (Of which I am not actually a part-it's not my surname) had two phrases attributed to them. One, Dieu Pour Nous, meaning: God for us. And two, Alta Pete or Aim at high things. Although I cannot lay claim to these philosophical statements with respect to geneology, I surely have access to the power and vision they embody.
